We at East Coast Fresh Cuts constantly challenge ourselves to be pro-active in the areas of Quality Assurance and Quality Control.

The following is a list of some of the government and independent agencies which regularly audit our facility to make sure we operate under good manufacturing processes as well as standard sanitation operating procedures. Organizations who regularly conduct random quality assurance audits of our facility include:

U.S.D.A.- for their "Qualified through Verification" program. All our products bear the U.S.D.A. shield of approval.

U.S.M.V.C.- United States Military Veterinary Command performs quarterly unannounced audits to maintain our approval to supply federal military installations with fresh- cut produce.

State & Local Health Departments- We are inspected by the state of MD Department of Health & Mental Hygiene as well as the Howard County Health Department.

Customer QC/ QA- Besides local, state, and federal inspection agencies, East Coast Fresh Cuts is often inspected by the independent quality assurance and quality control inspectors from several of our customers.

East Coast Fresh Cuts has a fully implemented and operational Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point Plan (HACCP) in effect. This plan was designed in conjunction with the former department head of the University of Maryland (College Park) Food Science Department. Production employees have undergone extensive 12-week training program for personal hygiene and good manufacturing practices conducted by the Maryland Business Training Center.
